Fedeli: Tory by-election win should worry Liberals

Vic Fedeli of Nipissing says the Progressive Conservatives have proven they can win seats in the GTA.  Last Thursday the Tories easily captured a Toronto-area seat held by the Liberals since 1999.  Fedeli says the margin of victory wasn’t even close with the Conservatives taking 9,700 votes compared to about 7,200 for the Liberals.

Fedeli says the campaign centred on all the Liberal scandals and the outcome was almost foregone.  He campaigned in the riding and heard the voters’ anger first hand.   The result was many people supporting the P.C.’s in the by-election.  Fedeli says the victory should send a strong signal to the Wynne Liberals that the Tories are gunning for them in the 2018 election.
