Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service one step closer to going on strike

The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service is getting ready to strike, as negotiations have broken down with the union for a new contract. The Public Service Alliance of Canada union has now asked the Ontario Labour Relations Board to file a No-Board Report, which will allow for a legal strike or lock-out within 17 days of receiving the report.

If the police unit does go on strike, the OPP will be taking over for the communities they service.
