License fees going up next week in Ontario

Drivers are going to start paying more for licenses and validations. The province is hiking up the fee for new or renewed licenses to $90 as of September 1st. That’s up from the current cost of $81.50.

The northern vehicle license validation fee is going from $54 to $60. The fee increase is meant to help the province pay for its transportation infrastructure.
