Another heat warning

With the heat wave back coupled with high humidex values, comes another warning from area health units.  Take it easy and stay hydrated.  The Sudbury and District Health Unit says don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink water.  Make sure you take in liquids throughout the day.  If you know an elderly neighbour, check in on them to ensure they’re alright.

Avoid heavy outdoor work and prepare meals that don’t need to be cooked in the oven.  Wear loose-fitting clothes and never leave kids or pets in a vehicle with the ignition off because the soaring heat will kill them.   With the humidity, it will feel like it’s about 37 degrees on Wednesday
