A movement has started in Espanola to save A.B. Ellis Public School from the wrecking ball. This fall, the school is being occupied by students from Sacred Heart while they wait for the completion of their new school. Once that new school is built, the Sacred Heart students will move out leaving A.B. Ellis totally empty.
Although there’s no final board decision on what to do with the school, some residents want to ensure it doesn’t come down. They’re holding a meeting this Wednesday at 7:30pm at the United Church to look at how to keep A.B. Ellis standing.
