The Northeast Region doesn’t yet face a restricted fire zone. But the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says that could change if the hot, dry and windy conditions continue. In the Sudbury District, the fire hazard is extreme. And across the north, people are being asked to be careful with campfires and how you discard cigarettes and matches.
