Trial date set in murder case

A trial date has been set for a Manitoulin Man charged in the murder of an Island elder.  Kimel Corbiere’s first degree murder trial gets underway November 29th.  In May, 2014 Johnny Panamick was found in his home suffering from serious injuries.  Panamick died a month later and in mid-July the accused was charged with first degree murder.  Corbiere has been behind bars for the past two years awaiting trial.
