An Elliot Lake woman who tried to sell a man’s stolen property back to him has been charged by police. Last month the victim had some of his belongings stolen during a break and enter. Then a few days ago, the man got a call from a woman who wanted to sell some of his property back to him. Both agreed on a location to make the exchange but unknown to the woman, the victim called police who were also waiting at the exchange site. They arrested a 20-year-old woman who is now charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime under $5,000.
