Northern New Democrats pursue energy with Thibeault

Ontario’s new Energy Minister, Glenn Thibeault, is the target of an open letter from northern MPPs to meet on hydro prices.  Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says one suggestion the New Democrats want Thibeault to consider is regulated gas prices.  Bisson says solutions to the north’s dilemma of high energy and gas prices will have to come from collaboration.

The NDP MPPs are hoping to appeal to Thibeault’s time as a federal member where he was outspoken on the cost of energy.  And Bisson adds a major asset is Thibeault is a northerner who understands the unique challenges the region faces.
