Minister upset with rally at Service Ontario office in Blind River

A Liberal cabinet minister is upset that Algoma Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha is holding a rally today to keep the Service Ontario office in Blind River from closing.  David Orazietti, who is the MPP for Sault Ste. Marie and the minister of government and consumer services, says there are no plans to close the office.  Orazietti says the Liberals were considering the possible closure of nine Service Ontario offices but everything is on hold pending a review.

Orazietti adds he told Mantha about suspending the Blind River closure and is unhappy that he still announced today’s rally.  The rally is still scheduled from noon to 2:00pm in front of the office.  Anyone who can’t make it, is asked to sign an online petition to keep the office open by going to www.michaelmantha.com
