Four men charged after starting forest fire

Four men from the Timskaming District have been charged after fireworks they set off in the bush started a forest fire.  The foursome ignited the fireworks during the May long weekend near Cobalt.  By the time firefighters arrived, the forest fire was out of control and a water bomber and helicopter were needed to douse the flames.  The four are charged under the Forest Fire Prevention Act for leaving fireworks unextinguished in a forest. The men are 18 to 21-years old.
