Enterprise camp this week

The grade 10 business class at Espanola High School will get a small taste of what it’s like to run a business this Friday.  The students have made hand-crafted items like cosmetics, jewelry and camping supplies they’ll sell at the Espanola Mall.  They borrowed money to make the goods, then put a business plan and budget together with the goal of making a profit.

The students will pay back the loan from the sale and keep the profit, if any.  The event gives them an idea of what it’s like to run a business in the north and perhaps some might become entrepreneurs.  The sale runs from 11 to 1 at the mall, but if students run out of items, the event will wrap up early.
