Gelinas critical of Liberals’ water record for First Nations

The Wynne Liberals are getting an earful from Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas.  Gelinas wants to know how much longer 90 First Nation communities in the province have to wait before they get safe drinking water.  The NDP critic for aboriginal affairs says the Liberals have been in power for 13 years, and during that time the drinking water status for First Nations hasn’t improved.

Gelinas says the Liberals are passing the buck on this issue, by waiting for the federal Liberals to do something first.  And she adds while they wait, children on some remote reserves are getting hit with skin lesions because they don’t have proper water.
