Angus making a trip to Attawapiskat and Kashechewan for health updates today

Both Jane Philpott and Charlie Angus are heading to Attawapiskat and Kashechewan today.

The Timmins-James Bay MP confirmed he and Canada’s Health Minister will be paying a visit to Attawapiskat for an update on its mental health emergency. They’ll also be in Kashechewan, where earlier this year, children were evacuated to northern hospitals with skin lesions.

This comes on the heels of the announcement that the province is channelling $222-million to improve healthcare for aboriginal communities in Ontario.
