Fire damage to Killarney Mountain Lodge estimated at $1M

The damage done to the Killarney Mountain Lodge is being estimated at $1 million, after yesterday’s fire. One building, the Covered Portage, was completely destroyed, but no injuries were reported.

Management of the resort say they are still open for business, and are still taking bookings. The Lodge is currently undergoing an $18 million dollar renovation and expansion. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and is under investigation.
