A fire that broke out at the Killarney Mountain Lodge has destroyed a newly renovated area of the lodge. The main section is still standing, but the area that housed the guest rooms is heavily damaged.
The fire broke out at about 3:00am this morning, and fire crews are still on the scene putting out the blaze. The lodge had just went through an $18 million renovation, and was set to re-open at the end of June. No serious injuries have been reported in the fire.
