OPP warning about an eaves trough cleaning scam targeted at seniors

The Little Current OPP is warning the public to watch out for a scam that is targeting seniors. Two men solicited a local senior to clean their eaves troughs. The homeowner agreed to a set price, and once the men were done the work, they ended up charging seven times that agreed amount; claiming they did additional repairs to the roof. However, no such repairs were ever done.

Police are warning the public to be aware of this scam, and asking for any additional information to find the men. They were driving a black truck with tinted windows, and a short box holding a chainsaw and other tools. One is described as in his 50’s, with grey-brown hair, around 5’8. The second is in his 20’s, with short blonde hair.

Anyone who has information on the scam or the men is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
