Cystic Fibrosis walk set for later this month in Webbwood

Later this month Webbwood is holding a walk for Cystic Fibrosis. One of the participants is 40-year-old Alana Grant of Webbwood. Grant has Cystic Fibrosis and was only expected to live until the age of four.

But, she beat the odds and will walk the 2.5 kilometre distance. Cystic Fibrosis affects various organs like the lungs that constantly fill up with mucus. Grant says it means patients are always treating the disease with medication.

The CF walk is May 29th and people can call Grant for more information at 869-5456.
