Vic Fedeli, the MPP for Nipissing, says the latest move by the Wynne Liberals reinforces that they don’t understand rural and Northern Ontario. Fedeli was reacting to the Liberals announcing the closure of nine Service Ontario offices including the one in Blind River.
Fedeli says it’s routine for bureaucrats at Queen’s Park to make decisions affecting the north without ever having been north of Barrie. He says bureaucrats are making decisions for northern Ontario without understanding the true ramification on people’s lives, which he says is typical of the Wynne Liberal government.
He adds the closures will force people to drive a lot further for the same service they get today.
