Health Sciences North is taking the time to recognize its 280 physicians for Doctor’s Day on May 1st. HSN provides resources, services and treatment for much of north eastern Ontario, serving as a hub for serious treatment of patients from smaller rural communities.
HSN says Doctor’s Day in the province began in 2011 and the date was chosen because it was Emily Stowe’s birthday, Canada’s first female doctor.
