Manitoulin Secondary getting some funding to promote mining careers

Manitoulin Secondary School is getting a $1,600 grant to promote engineering. The money is coming from the Canadian Institute of Mining to encourage students to get into the industry.

The money will go into buying small engines and various tools for the technology classrooms. The goal is to encourage students to consider careers in engineering and technology, with an emphasis on mining. Principal Laurie Zahnow is thanking CIM for their support, saying this is going to give students a hands-on learning experience.
