Skateboard park to be named after popular skateboarder

Elliot Lake’s skateboard park is being dedicated to the memory of an avid skateboarder who died recently in the community.  The park will be named after William Lozier.  City councillor Connie Nykyforak says the dedication is well deserved.

Nykyforak says Lozier was the “go-to” guy when it came to skateboarding.  He would teach people the skill, and could often be seen showing a young person how to skateboard.   Lozier also helped with the fundraising to create the park a while back.  The date for the dedication still needs to be determined.
