Espanola police have charged a Birch Island man with making a death threat. The 18-year-old was with his girlfriend in Espanola when the woman says he suddenly freaked out and threatened to stab and kill her. The woman called 9-1-1 and police were on the scene within moments. The man took off but police saw him in a cab and arrested him. Police have also charged the accused with three counts of using a stolen credit card after a debit card was stolen from a vehicle.
