2016 means another hike in electricity prices. The good news is the Liberals have finally removed the debt retirement charge from your bill which averaged about $70 year. The bad news is the savings are being eaten up by the clean energy benefit coming to an end. Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says the Liberals are confusing the public deliberately with these changes. Bisson says we aren’t any farther ahead, and the concern is electricity rates will just keep climbing higher and higher.
