Residents of Northeastern Ontario will soon see a new plan from the regional Local Health Integration Network. The plan, which was put together through a survey asking northerners their priorities, focuses on three areas. A major goal of the LHIN is to improve access and wait times. Another objective is to better coordinate the care patients receive and to strengthen the system’s sustainability. The plan will be rolled out early this year.
