Motor vehicle traffic has been driving on the swing bridge in Little Current with no problems following a freak accident. A decommissioned fish cage being transported by a barge broke from its mooring and hit the bridge. Officials with the Ministry of Transportation examined the bridge’s steel supports to ensure they weren’t damaged. They gave the thumbs up and passenger vehicles have been using the bridge without any problems.
