A winter storm warning continues for Algoma-Manitoulin.
In Elliot Lake, Environment Canada says total snowfall amounts of 30 to 50 cm are possible with near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
On the island, freezing rain and ice pellets will change over to light snow Monday afternoon. 6-12 mm of ice buildup is possible.
Across the region, strong winds with gusts of 70 to 80 km/h are possible and there’s a risk of ice pellets in some areas.
At last check (7:20 am), Highway 17 is closed from Blind River to the Soo.
Highway 6 is back open from Espanola to Little Current.
