A search for a Manitoulin Island woman carried out last week has yielded no results.
Manitoulin OPP carried out a search over two days last week in two key areas of M’Chigeeng First Nation for Juanita Migwans who went missing a year ago.
Constable Berkley Parisien says the search was carried out near Riverside Drive and Cross Hill Road and the Bidwell Bog area.
She says the search was conducted by officers from the OPP, The United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Police Service utilizing emergency response teams and K9 units but had no new information to release publicly.
Parisien says Migwans was last seen a year ago today, October 2nd, walking near Highway 551 and Oakhill Drive around 10:30 am but there has been little if any information on her disappearance.
Parisien adds the search continues and anyone with any information is urged to call the tip line.

She is described as an Indigenous woman, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
