A North Shore Township man is facing animal cruelty charges.
East Algoma OPP Constable Phil Young says back in March, the OPP and animal welfare services inspected a property on Old Hydro Road in the township and found 10 goats – nine deceased and only one alive.
He adds a veterinarian also determined the animals were not adequately cared for over a long period of time.
Young says a 61-year-old man from North Shore Township has been charged with three counts of cruelty to animals and one count of causing damage or injury to an animal or bird.
He adds the accused will appear before the Blind River court to answer to the charges.
