Espanola council proclaims International Drug Awareness Month

Espanola council has officially proclaimed International Drug Overdose Awareness Month.
Following a presentation by the local committee, Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais made the proclamation official.
Members of council are also expected to raise the flag this morning at 10 am.
The Third Annual Drug Awareness Walk will be held on Sunday, August 31st from noon until 2 pm at the Oval at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex as part of International Drug Overdose Awareness Day.
The committee members also thanks the town for providing the facility to host the gathering at the end of the month.
