The Canadian Cancer Society needs drivers for its Wheels of Hope program.
Society spokesperson, Mark Kahan, says the society offers free driving services for those who must travel for treatment, but they need drivers, including the Espanola, North Shore and Manitoulin Island.
He says sometimes there is a vehicle available, but in most cases, the drivers must have their own cars and are fully compensated for their mileage.
Kahan adds that those who wish to join the program
must have a valid driver’s license, a criminal check and be available during the week for at least six months.
