Espanola and Nairn & Hyman Township have both filled vacancies on council this week.
Nairn & Hyman Township welcomed Karen Richter as the new councillor to fill a vacancy left by former Councillor Guy Despatie’s resignation.
Council chose their new colleague by vote from eight applicants who put their name forward to fill the seat at the April 14th council meeting.
Espanola council welcomed Lora Wahamaa on Tuesday filling a vacancy left by Sandra Hayden.
She was appointed to the position after council held a call for applications in April.
