Police have located a person deceased after their snowmobile went into the water near White’s Point in Little Current.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Berkley Parisien says a 48-year-old person was recovered from the water and transported to the hospital by Air Ornge, where they were later confirmed deceased.
She says the police responded to an overdue person report on Thursday morning around 4:30 pm.
She adds the search was focused near White’s Point in Little Current.
Parisien says the identity of the individual is not being released out of respect for the family wishes.
