Out of five area debates, Espanola’s held last Thursday evening had the largest turnout, close to 100 individuals.
The debate had four of six candidates in the Sudbury East-Manitoulin-Nickel Belt riding in attendance.
Conservative Jim Belanger and People’s Party Sharilynne St. Louis were both invited but chose not to attend.
There was a variety of topics brought up by audience members including charity reform, housing, road and local infrastructure, and the opioid crisis among others.
The advance polls opened on Friday and closed yesterday.
