Elliot Lake man selected as NDP candidate for Algoma-Manitoulin

The Algoma Manitoulin NDP Riding Association has selected David Timeriski of Elliot as their candidate for the riding.

David Timeriski is a resident of Northern Ontario, currently living in Elliot Lake with his wife, Natalie. Together, they have raised two adult children. Bilingual in French and English, he attended Villa Française des Jeunes and later pursued post-secondary education at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology and Cambrian College.

With over three decades of service in various community roles, he has dedicated much of his career to helping others. He spent 25 years as a Volunteer Firefighter with the City of Elliot Lake Fire Services and worked as a Handi-Lift Transit Bus driver. His passion for helping others led him to a long career in emergency medical services as a Paramedic, serving communities across the North, including Manitouwadge, Espanola, and Elliot Lake. Having covered the entire Highway 17 corridor from Marathon to Sudbury and Manitoulin, he continues to serve his community with more than 31 years of experience in EMS.

In addition to his work in emergency services, he has served as a Court Enforcement Officer with the Ministry of the Attorney General for over 25 years, extending his impact across Ontario.

A committed community volunteer, he had led the annual Elliot Lake Fire Services Door-to-Door Food Drive Campaign. Recognized for his professional and volunteer efforts he is recipient of four Federal awards, Provincial awards, the City of Elliot Lake Civic Award, and the Ontario Volunteer Award. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities.

Now seeking the opportunity to serve as the Ontario NDP candidate for Algoma-Manitoulin in the current provincial election, David brings a wealth of experience in public service, a deep dedication to his community, and a passion for making a difference. His commitment is to represent the people of Algoma-Manitoulin with integrity, compassion, and accountability.

Focused on the values of public safety, empathy, and community-driven leadership, he is eager to continue his lifelong mission of service at a Provincial level.
