A college student from Blind River has been named the cross-country rookie of the year by the Ontario College Athletic Association. Luke Groulx, who attends Sault College, finished fifth at the provincial championships and is now headed to the national championships. Another Sault College student, Mikalia Kennedy from Manitoulin also qualified for the nationals. The provincials took place in Sault Ste. Marie and the Canadian championships are next week on Saturday in Brockville.
