The City of Elliot Lake says the Kraft Hockeyville community celebration will occur at Collins Hall on Friday, September 27th.
In a release, the city states there will be a charity BBQ, live bands and entertainment, face painting, ball hockey, a mascot dance-off and more.
The gathering set for 3 pm is free and open to the public with all the proceeds from the BBQ and Kraft Hockeyville merchandise sales going to the Centennial Arena fund.
The release also states Sunday, Sept. 29 is game day at Sudbury Community Arena, with the NHL preseason game between the Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The schedule of events is still being confirmed. Still, a ticket distribution strategy for team practices and the game will be explained in a detailed plan soon and tickets will be distributed at the discretion of the Elliot Lake Local Organizing Committee.
