A Go Fund Me has been set up for a Manitoulin Island family who lost their home to fire this past weekend.
On Sunday, Nevin Merrylees, his wife and their eight-month-old son escaped the fire, but lost everything including two pets in the blaze.
He is a general contractor and lost thousands of dollars’ worth of tools, so Pat Noble Lumber & Building Supplies Ltd. in Gore Bay has agreed to sell tools at cost to help the family maintain its income.
The funds raised will help the family find another home and replace necessities including baby furniture, clothes and more.
