Two people have been arrested and charged for weapon and drug offences in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
On Saturday shortly after midnight, the OPP received a call about a possible impaired driver on Grove Street in Massey.
Police approached the vehicle and arrested the passenger for breach.
The officers were then approached by the second individual who attempted to intervene leading to their arrest.
The OPP says a search of the vehicle yielded a knife, suspected cocaine and about $16,000 in cash.
A 25-year-old from M’Chigeeng First Nation and a 28-year-old from Scarborough has been charged with drug possession, trafficking, possession of a weapon and possession of the proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000.
The 28-year-old is also facing an obstruction charge.
