The Blind River Rotary Club has ceased operating

The President of the Blind River Rotary Club, Robert Villeneuve, says it is with regret that the Blind River Rotary Club has ceased operations effective immediately.

He says their membership numbers continue to decrease and it has become impossible to operate the club any longer with less than 20 members among its ranks.

A member of Rotary International, the club has assisted with several local projects since it was founded in 1989, including the Bea Jensen Pavilion which opened in 2022.

Some others over the last 37 years includes the annual biathlon and the A.J. Shamus 32nd Annual Golf Tournament, international student exchange, assisting food programs including The Good Box and the local food bank, Christmas Baskets and so much more.

Villeneuve extends a thank you to everyone for their support over the decades.
