45th Annual LaCloche Art Show looking for entries

There is less than two weeks to register artwork for the annual LaCloche Art Show in Whitefish Falls.

Suzanne Miron says Martin Kotyluk of Sudbury was the first-place winner in the Acrylic category last year, as well getting an honorable mention in the Drawing category, so he has been selected as this year’s featured artist.

The organization will also host registrations on June 7th and 8th from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Whitefish Falls Community Centre for the 45th running of the show.

Miron adds the entry fee is $30 and all artists of all genres are welcome to take part.

She says the show runs from June 29th to July 6th and is free to the public.

Kotyluk loves the outdoors, and it is his inspiration.

“Landscape art was the beginning of my art career and most of the pieces today are. However, I’m always open to exploring new media and art styles to advance my work.

“The finer details of nature and modern culture can be found in my art.

“Vivid landscapes have made my work iconic and art enthusiasts will find pleasure reflecting on their own personal experiences and perspective through each one of my paintings.”

In 2020, his painting Killarney Panoramic was awarded second place for landscape art by International Artists Magazine.

From there, he was also featured in International Artists Magazine and America Art Collector.

Over the past 12 years,

Kotyluk has had his art display in over 40 group and solo art shows including La Cloche Art Show, NOAA and the Art Gallery of Sudbury.
