Law firm donates $10,000 to help fix arena

A former Elliot Laker has donated to the renovation costs of the local arena.

Moodie Mair Walker LLP is a Toronto law firm specializing in civil litigation and one partner, Ian Mair, grew up in Elliot Lake.

He says his staff was moved by the enthusiasm of Elliot Lake’s Kraft Hockeyville campaign and so the firm  is donating $10,000 to the Centennial Arena restoration project.

Mair adds the firm makes this donation in honour of the volunteers, past and present who helped to make Elliot Lake a wonderful place to grow up.

With their $10,000 donation, the new total amount raised currently sits at $385,757.

The local campaign has a goal of $500,000 to go towards repairs to Centennial Arena.
