UCCM Police hosting virtual sessions dealing with elder abuse

The United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Police Association is hosting two virtual sessions for the public to learn more about elder abuse.

The sessions will help the public define what elder abuse is, recognizing when such abuse is taking place and options to assist someone who may be being abused.

Presenters will also share information on how the police deal with alleged abuse and the court process.

The first session is today at noon, the next on Thursday, April 25th.

The police service will also be offering in-person community sessions soon for those who do not have computer access.
