Former Elliot Lake man one of the winners of Split the Pot

The province introduced a new lottery for hospitals and an Elliot Lake man is one of the winners.

St. Joseph’s Foundation spokesperson William Elliot says one of the winners of the Split the Pot lottery selected St. Joseph’s Foundation in Elliot Lake as their beneficiary hospital … and is a former Elliot laker now living in Peterborough.

He says it turned out that Ryan Landriault won $107,791.50 and drove to his hometown yesterday to pick up his winnings.

He adds the lottery provides for multiple winners throughout the province with the hospitals also splitting the money made to support staffing and vital hospital equipment.

The Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Sciences North are also winners with being part of the program.
