Second Community Egg Fundraiser launched just in time for Easter

It could be an egg-citing time to help those who need nutritional supports through the Second Annual Community Egg Fundraiser in Elliot Lake and area.

Fundraising co-ordinator and local educator, Maddison Rheaume says the Harvest Kitchen and Elliot Lake Intermediate School have teamed up once again to sell eggs to raise much needed funds to support food security within the community.

She says a dozen farm fresh grade A eggs costs $5 with the profits supporting both the school’s student nutrition program as well as the “free or pay what you can” meals at the Harvest Kitchen.

Rheaume is asking people to buy local Algoma farm fresh graded eggs through their online order form with the fundraiser open to everyone in Elliot Lake and across the North Shore corridor.

She adds North Shore pickup will be on March 26th, Elliot Lake the following day.

All the details for pick up and delivery can be found on the order form or by contacting a volunteer at 705-241-4918.
