A Manitoulin Island man is back home thanks to the Manitoulin OPP, canine units, and volunteers.
The OPP says officers were called out to search for a Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory resident on Monday and the K9 units tracked him over 22 kilometres before an OPP helicopter crew finally spotted and rescued him.
The man who is non-verbal, was hypothermic after spending a night in wet and very cold conditions but has since recovered fully.
