Special Olympians come home victorious

All the Special Olympians from Manitoulin Island and Elliot Lake came home with some special hardware with every one of them finishing on the podium.

The Team Ontario Curling Team from the Island won gold on Saturday afternoon, and Matthew Bedard came home with three bronze medals following his performances in various snowshoe events.

A community celebration for them will be held this Thursday evening at 7pm at the Freshwater Community Church in Mindemoya.

And Elliot Lake’s Adam Cormier is sporting a silver medal in Five-Pin Bowling and a Bronze in Singles.
