A fire was put out overnight on Wednesday at the landfill in Elliot Lake.
The fire broke out late Tuesday afternoon and the Elliot Lake Firefighters had to close off road access while they fought the blaze.
The city also issued a warning to keep windows closed to avoid air quality reactions.
The roads were reopened yesterday morning.
No cause for the blaze was provided.
