The New Democrat in Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing says nowadays FedNor is a pale comparison of what it once was. Incumbent Carol Hughes says funding to FedNor has been cut by half over the years. She says FedNor would get a makeover under an NDP government.  Hughes says the NDP would also look at the guidelines because many communities in Northern Ontario are different meaning they have different needs. Hughes is being challenged by Tory candidate Andre Robichaud for the AMK seat. Also in the running are Heather Wilson of the Liberal party and from the Green party, it’s Calvin John Orok.
