North Shore Health Network welcomes new VP of Clinical Services

The North Shore Health Network will welcome its new vice-president of Clinical Services and chief nursing executive next week.

Network President and CEO Tim Vine says Connie Gordon will take on the new role in the new year.

He says Gordon is a dynamic collaborative leader with the right mix of skills and experience, and 15 years of senior health sector leadership.

Vine says she has demonstrated abilities in senior leadership across a broad range of sectors and portfolios including acute and long-term care, public health, mental health, and addictions, as well as expertise in budgeting, health policy development and strategic planning.

He adds Gordon previously was the chief nursing executive for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake and Algoma Public Health.

Gordon starts in her new position on January 8th.

Vine also extended a thank you to Mary Ellen Luukkonen for her work as interim VP/CNE over the last nearly two years, and for supporting the organization with the transition to the network.
